A quick and easy recipe that can be made with easily available ingredients at home. It is very simple to make but uncompromisingly tasty!
Ingredients:
- 1-2 cups of rice (as per requirement)
- 1-2 onions
- 1-2 tomatoes
- ½ cup peas
- 1-2 potatoes
- 2 tablespoon oil
- 1 tablespoon ghee
- 1 tablespoon mustard seeds
- 1 bay leaf
- 2 dry red chilli
- ½ tablespoon cumin seeds
- A pinch of asafoetida
- 4-5 curry leaves
- ¼ tablespoon turmeric powder
- ½ tablespoon dhaniya powder
- ¼ tablespoon red chilli powder
- ¼ tablespoon salt
- ⅛ tablespoon Bhoj Masale Kitchen King Masala
- Chopped coriander leaves
Instructions:
- Prepare the rice: Soak 1-2 cups of rice in water and wash it thoroughly. Let it soak in water while we get the rest of the ingredients ready.
- Prepare the seasoning: In a cooker, add 2 tablespoon oil, 1 tablespoon ghee, 1 tablespoon mustard seeds, 1 bay leaf, 2 dry red chilli, ½ tablespoon cumin seeds, a pinch of asafoetida and 4-5 curry leaves and saute well.
- Add the vegetables: To this, add 1-2 onions chopped, 1-2 tomatoes chopped, ½ cup peas and 1-2 potatoes chopped and mix well.
- Add the masala: Once sauteed well, add ¼ tablespoon turmeric powder, ½ tablespoon dhaniya powder, ¼ tablespoon red chilli powder, ¼ tablespoon salt and ⅛ tablespoon Bhoj Masale Kitchen King Masala and mix it all well.
- Serve it hot along with some onion salad, papad and curd and enjoy!
Tips:
- Adding a little bit of ghee for this recipe will increase the aroma and taste of the bhaat.
