Restaurant Style Shahi Malai Methi Matar Recipe

Hotel flavour at the comfort of your home, this recipe is so flavourful and too tempting to not try it at least once.

    1. Boil the peas: Add ½ tablespoon of salt to boiling water and to it add 1 cup fresh peas and let it boil until soft.
  • Prepare tomato and onion paste: Saute 1-2 chopped onion, 1-2 chopped tomatoes and 7-8 garlic cloves well for a few minutes. Grind it to a fine paste after it cools down.
  • Fry methi leaves: Shallow fry one cup of methi leaves in a pan and set it aside.
      1. Fry kade masala: Add 1 cinnamon, 2 cardamoms, 3 cloves and 1 tablespoon jeera to a pan and saute well.
  • Add the paste: To this, add the prepared paste and mix well. Let it boil for 2-3 minutes. Add ½ tablespoon salt and ½ tablespoon  Bhoj Masale turmeric powder to this and mix well.
      1. Add the masalas: Add ½ tablespoon  Bhoj Masale Shahi Paneer Masala, 1 tablespoon  Bhoj Masale coriander powder  and 1 tablespoon  Bhoj Masale Kashmiri red chilli powder  and mix well.
  • Add the methi leaves: Add the roasted methi leaves and give it a good mix.
  • Add peas: Noe, add the boiled peas and mix well. Adjust water as required and let it boil. Cover and cook for 5-10 minutes.
  • Add the garnishing: Add ½ cup cream and 1 tablespoon sugar and mix well.
    1. Serve hot and enjoy!

    Tips:

    • Adding roasted methi leaves helps in capturing the flavour of the gravy and enhances the overall taste.
    • Adding sugar in the end helps balance the flavour.
