Rajasthani Malai Sev Recipe

Delicious and native Rajasthani dish that bursts with flavour with every bite leaving us wanting for more. A perfect lunch recipe!





    1. Prepare the tempering: Heat some oil in a pan and add 1 tablespoon cumin seeds, ½ tablespoon fennel seeds, 7-8 black pepper balls, 3-4 cloves, 1 onion diced, ginger and garlic chopped, 2 green chillies chopped or slit and 2 tomatoes and saute well.
    2. Make the seasoning: In a small bowl, combine 1 tablespoon Bhoj Masale Kashmiri red chili powder, ½ tablespoon Bhoj Masale turmeric powder, 1 tablespoon Bhoj Masale dhania jeera powder, ½ tablespoon garam masala, 1 tablespoon channa masala and ½ tablespoon salt and mix the masala well.
  • Mix everything: Add the masala mix to the tempering and mix well. Adjust water accordingly as you cook. After the masala is cooked for sometime add ¼ cup fresh cream, 1 cup sev and coriander leaves and mix well.
    1. Serve it hot along with some rotis!


    • Use natural ginger and garlic instead of store bought ginger garlic paste for better taste.
