Mumbai style tawa pulao recipe for the taste of mumbai itself which is simply a burst of flavours and masala which is sure to get one addicted to the taste!
Ingredients:
- ½ cup basmati rice
- ½ tablespoon turmeric powder
- ½ tablespoon oil
- 4 dry red chillies
- 4 cloves of garlic
- 1 cabbage
- 1 capsicum
- 1 onion
- 1 carrot
- ½ tablespoon butter
- ½ tablespoon jeera
- ½ bowl peas
- 1 boiled potato
For Seasoning:
- ½ tablespoon salt
- 1 tablespoon coriander powder
- ½ tablespoon kashmiri red chilli
- ½ tablespoon garam masala
- ½ tablespoon Bhoj Masale pav bhaji masala
For garnishing:
- 4-5 cashews
- ½ lemon
- Coriander leaves
Instructions:
- Wash and cook the rice: Take ½ cup of rice in a bowl and wash it thoroughly. After washing, pour some water, ½ tablespoon salt, ½ tablespoon of turmeric powder and ½ tablespoon of oil and cook it.
- Make the chilli paste: In a small bowl, take 4 dry red chillies and 4 cloves of garlic and add some water to it and let it soak for a few minutes. After soaking it, add some oil to it and mix it thoroughly in a mixer and set the paste aside.
- Mumbai style tawa pulao is ready to be served and enjoyed!
Tips:
- Basmati rice tastes better for this recipe.
- Add onions before the other vegetables since onions take more time to cook.
