A classic and ever tasty mirchi vada recipe that is sure to rock the dinner conversation among all your guests!
Ingredients:
- 1 tablespoon oil
- 1 tablespoon cumin
- 1 pinch asafoetida
- ½ cup minced ginger and garlic
- 2-3 green chillies chopped
- 1 cup onion chopped
- ¼ tablespoon Bhoj Masale turmeric powder
- ½ tablespoon Bhoj Masale bhuna jeera
- ½ tablespoon Bhoj Masale black pepper powder
- ½ tablespoon Bhoj Masale Kashmiri red chilli powder
- 1 cup boiled and mashed potato
- Coriander leaves
- 7-8 big green chillies (or as per requirement)
- Salt as required
For Coating:
- 1 cup besan
- ¼ tablespoon Bhoj Masale turmeric powder
- ¼ red chilli powder
- ¼ tablespoon salt
- 1 tablespoon oil
- 1 cup water
Instructions:
- Prepare the tempering: Add 1 tablespoon oil and to it add 1 tablespoon cumin, 1 pinch asafoetida, ½ cup minced ginger and garlic, 2-3 green chillies chopped and 1 cup onion chopped and saute well.
- Prepare the coating: Add 1 cup besan, ¼ tablespoon Bhoj Masale turmeric powder. ¼ red chilli powder, ¼ tablespoon salt, 1 tablespoon oil and 1 cup water and mix it well to make a smooth batter.
- Fry the chillies: Fry the coated and stuffed chillies in oil on medium flame until it gets golden brown.
- Serve it hot with some sauce of your choice and enjoy!
Tips:
- Adding stuffing inside the chilli rather than frying it plain will give a better taste.
