Mini Aloo Samosa Recipe

Easy and simple samosa recipe to prepare on the days you have a lot of guests! Try this recipe and enjoy a simple but delicious recipe!

 

 

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups all purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon jeera
  • 1 tablespoon oil
  • Salt as required
  • Water as required

For stuffing:

  • 2 tablespoon oil
  • 2 tablespoon coriander seeds
  • 1 tablespoon saunf
  • ½ tablespoon grated ginger
  • 1-2 green chillies chopped
  • ¼ tablespoon  Bhoj Masale hing 
  • ½ cup peas
  • ½ tablespoon turmeric powder
  • 1 tablespoon red chilli powder
  • 1½ tablespoon dhaniya powder
  • 1 tablespoon garam masala
  • ½ tablespoon amchur powder
  • 1 tablespoon jeera powder
  • Boiled and mashed potatoes
  • Coriander leaves 

Instructions:

    1. Prepare the dough: In a bow, add 2 cups of all purpose flour, 1 tablespoon jeera, 1 tablespoon oil, salt as required and water as required and knead it to a soft dough. Cover this with a blanket and set it aside. 
  • Tempering: In a pan, add 2 tablespoon oil and to it add 2 tablespoon coriander seeds, 1 tablespoon saunf, ½ tablespoon grated ginger, 1-2 green chillies chopped, ¼ tablespoon  Bhoj Masale hing  and ½ cup peas and saute well. Once sauteed well, add 1.2 cup of peas.
  • Add the masala: To the mixture, add ½ tablespoon turmeric powder, 1 tablespoon red chilli powder, 1½ tablespoon dhaniya powder, 1 tablespoon garam masala, ½ tablespoon amchur powder and 1 tablespoon jeera powder and mix everything well.
  • Add the potatoes: Now add the boiled and mashed potatoes along with salt as required. Sprinkle some chopped coriander leaves and mix everything thoroughly.  
      1. Roll the samosa: Now, take the prepared dough and make it into small balls. Roll the balls into a flat sheet and cut it in  half. 
  • Add the stuffing: Make a triangle out of the samosa sheets and fill in with the prepared stuffing. Seal the corners with some water.
  • Fry: Fry the samosa on medium flame until golden brown and crispy.
    1. Enjoy it with some sauce and a hot tea on the side.

    Tips:

    • Sealing the samosa just with water and not corn flour water helps in retaining the taste of the samosa.
