Simple and tasty matar paneer pulao rice which is a comfort food, also providing your daily intake of protein!
Ingredients:
- 1 cup basmati rice
- ½ lemon
- ½ tablespoon ghee
- ½ tablespoon salt
- 1 cup boiled peas
For Paneer:
- 1 bowl curd
- ½ cup ginger garlic paste
- 1 tablespoon Bhoj Masale Kashmiri red chili powder
- ½ tablespoon Bhoj Masale turmeric powder
- 1 tablespoon Bhoj Masale coriander powder
- 2 tablespoon Bhoj Masale biryani masala
- ½ tablespoon Bhoj Masale garam masala
- ½ tablespoon salt
- 1 cup paneer cubes
For masala base:
- 1 tablespoon oil
- 1 tablespoon cumin
- ½ tablespoon fennel seeds
- 2-3 cloves
- 4-5 black pepper balls
- 2 Green chili
- 1 onion
- 1-2 tomatoes
- ½ tablespoon salt
- ½ tablespoon Bhoj Masale turmeric powder
- 1 tablespoon Bhoj Masale Kashmiri red chili powder
- Coriander leaves
Instructions:
- Prepare the rice: Add the rice in boiling water along with ½ tablespoon ghee. ½ tablespoon salt and ½ a lemon squeezed and cook well.
- Prepare the paneer: In a small utensil, combine 1 bowl curd,½ cup ginger garlic paste, 1 tablespoon Bhoj Masale Kashmiri red chili powder, ½ tablespoon Bhoj Masale turmeric powder, 1 tablespoon Bhoj Masale coriander powder, 2 tablespoon Bhoj Masale biryani masala, ½ tablespoon Bhoj Masale garam masala and ½ tablespoon salt and mix well. Add 1 cup paneer cubes and coat them well with this mixture.
Tips:
- Adding lemon while boiling rice helps in keeping the rice non-sticky.
