Relatively simple and tasty recipe that will save your time, energy and also the day. Try this recipe along with some hot rotis or rice and enjoy!
Ingredients:
- 2 tablespoon ghee
- 4 black pepper balls
- ½ tablespoon jeera
- 1 bay leaf
- 2 cardamom
- 1 medium onion sliced
- 1 tablespoon grated garlic and ginger
- 1 tomato chopped
- 1 tablespoon Bhoj Masale coriander powder
- ½ tablespoon Bhoj Masale red chilli powder
- ⅓ tablespoon Bhoj Masale turmeric powder
- 7-8 cashew nuts
- 1 tablespoon cream
- ½ tablespoon salt
For Dough:
- 50 grams grated paneer
- 25 grams Khoya/Maava
- 25 grams boiled and grated potato
- ⅓ tablespoon pepper powder
- ¼ tablespoon baking soda
- 1 tablespoon corn flour
- 1 tablespoon maida
- ½ tablespoon grated ginger
For Stuffing:
- Finely chopped dry nuts (Almond, Cashews, Pistachios, Raisins)
- ⅓ tablespoon salt
- 1 tablespoon coriander leaves
Instructions:
- Prepare the tempering: Heat 2 tablespoon of ghee in a pan and to it add 4 black pepper balls, ½ tablespoon jeera, 1 bay leaf, 2 cardamom, 1 medium onion sliced, 1 tablespoon grated garlic and ginger and saute well until the onion turns medium brown. After cooking for 4-5 minutes, add 1 tomato chopped and saute well.
- Prepare the dough: In a bowl, add 50 grams grated paneer, 25 grams Khoya/Maava, 25 grams boiled and grated potato, 1⁄3 tablespoon pepper powder, ¼ tablespoon baking soda, 1 tablespoon corn flour, 1 tablespoon maida and ½ tablespoon grated ginger and knead it to a soft dough. Roll the dough into small balls and set it aside.
- Prepare the stuffing: Chop dry nuts (Almond, Cashews, Pistachios, Raisins) finely, and add ⅓ tablespoon salt and 1 tablespoon coriander leaves.
- Fry the kofta: Fry the dough balls in oil on medium flame until golden brown and crispy.
- Make the gravy: Grind the tempered mixture to a smooth paste.
- Filter the gravy in a strainer.
- Plate the gravy in a bowl, add 1 tablespoon of cream on the gravy and place the kofta balls in the gravy and serve this hot!
Tips:
- Adding dry nuts to the kofta balls give it a rich taste and enhance the overall dish.
