A twist to your mundane daily routine, a sabji with the potential to compete with chicken or mutton curries!
Ingredients:
- 1 kg jackfruit
- ½ tablespoon turmeric powder
- 1 ½ tablespoon of mustard oil
- 2 cinnamon sticks
- 1 black cardamom
- 3 green cardamom
- 4-5 cloves
- 4-5 black pepper seeds
- 2 bay leaves
- ½ tablespoon jeera
- 3 onions diced
- 2 tablespoon ginger garlic paste
- 2 tomato cut
- ½ tablespoon Bhoj Masale turmeric powder
- 1 tablespoon Bhoj Masale red chilli powder
- 1 tablespoon Bhoj Masale kashmiri red chilli powder
- 2 tablespoon Bhoj Masale coriander powder
- ½ tablespoon Bhoj Masale kitchen king masala
- ½ tablespoon Bhoj Masale garam masala
- Coriander leaves
- Salt to taste
Instructions:
- Cook the jackfruit: Cut the jackfruit into small pieces and add it to a cooker. To it add 1 glass of water, ½ tablespoon of turmeric powder and ½ tablespoon of salt and pressure cook it on medium flame for 2 whistles. Remove the jackfruit from the cooker after it gets cooked and set it aside.
- Garnish: Once the jackfruit is properly cooked, switch off the stove and add some cut up coriander leaves on the top.
- Plate the jackfruit sabji with some hot rice or rotis and enjoy!
Tips:
- Steam cook the jackfruit before frying it otherwise it will be too raw and hard.
