Simple and easy dhokla recipe to enjoy for your evening snacks. You can also make use of this recipe to impress your guests!
Ingredients:
- 1 cup water
- 3 teaspoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 teaspoon citric acid
- 2 cups besan
- ½ teaspoon baking soda
- Coriander leaves
- ½ cup water
- Salt as required
Seasoning:
- 1 tablespoon oil
- 1 tablespoon mustard seeds
- A pinch of Bhoj Masale hing
- 7-8 curry leaves
- 4-5 green chillies
- Water as required
- Salt to taste
Instructions:
- Prepare the citric basse: In a bowl, mix 1 cup water, 3 teaspoon sugar, 1 teaspoon salt and 2 teaspoon citric acid and mix well. Cover and set it aside for 15 minutes.
- Make the batter: Add half a teaspoon of baking soda and mix well. Pour the batter into a baking tray and keep it on top of a stand inside a pan surrounded with water. Cover and cook until the batter is cooked.
- Cut the dhokla into small pieces and serve it and enjoy!
Tips:
- Adding citric acid will help in making the dough fluffier and spongier.
