Instant and easy recipe for making amla pickle that can be relished with your daily meals or can even replace curries for the days when you are in a rush or don’t have the time to prepare elaborate meals!
Ingredients:
- 10-12 Amlas
- 1 cup mustard seeds
- ½ cup jeera
- ½ cup dhaniya
- ½ cup methi
- ¼ cup black pepper balls
- ½ cup saunf
- 4 dry red chillies
- 1 cup mustard oil
- 1 tablespoon Bhoj Masale turmeric powder
- 1 tablespoon Bhoj Masale Kashmiri red chili powder
- ½ tablespoon asafoetida
- 1 tablespoon salt
- 10-12 green chillies
Instructions:
- Boil the amla: Boil 10-12 amlas in water for about 8-10 minutes. Once boiled well, remove the seeds and slice each amla into 4 pieces. Set this aside.
- Make the spice mix ready: Roast 1 cup mustard seeds, ½ cup jeera, ½ cup dhaniya, ½ cup methi, ¼ cup black pepper balls, ½ cup saunf and 4 dry red chillies in a pan for 2 minutes. Grind them to a coarse powder.
- Tasty and delicious amla pickle is ready now! You can store it and use it whenever required.
Tips:
- Using mustard oil for making desi pickle will enhance the taste better than other types of oil.
