Who doesn’t like South Indian favorite idli podi. It serves as a perfect and quick combination for hot and steamy idlis or dosas.
Ingredients:
- Black urad dal - 1 cup
- Dry red chillies - 10 to 15
- Chana dal - ½ cup
- Rock salt - 1 tbsp
- Black sesame seeds - ¼ cup
- 1 teaspoon Bhoj Masale Kashmiri Red Chilli Powder
Instructions:
- Dry roast the ingredients: Dry roast black urad dal and red chillies until they turn aromatic. Transfer them to a plate and roast chana dal until it turns golden in color. Transfer it to a plate and roast black sesame seeds with rock salt.
- Add oil or ghee to the podi and relish it with dosa or idli.
Tips:
- Roasting the ingredients too much can result in bitter taste.
