Homemade Amrakhand Recipe

Do you want to have something sweet for dinner, but you are worried you are an adult and you can’t do it? This recipe is your saviour for that night when you can’t seem to control your cravings!

Ingredients:

  • 4-5 tablespoon hung curd
  • 1 cup mango pulp
  • ½ cup saffron milk
  • ½ tablespoon  Bhoj Masale cardamom  powdered
  • Grated pistas
  • Grated katrang
  • Rose petals

Instructions:

    1. Prepare the hung curd: Place a muslin cloth in a vessel and pur some curd in it and tie it on the top. Let it rest like that overnight in the fridge.
    2. Remove the curd in the morning and whisk it nicely to make it like a cream.
    3. Add the mango: To this whipped curd, add 1 cup of mango pulp prepared and mix it well to make sure there are no lumps.
    4. Flavour the mixture: To this thoroughly whisked and mixed curd and mango mixture, add ½ cup saffron milk and ½ tablespoon  Bhoj Masale cardamom  powdered well and give it a good mix. Whisk it nicely to a point where it so creamy and there are no lumps in the mixture. 
  • Garnish: Garnish it with some grated pista, grated katranga and some rose petals on the top.
    1. Serve it with some hot puris and enjoy it well!

    Tips:

    • Using hung curd rather than normal curd would yield better results for this recipe.
