Farali Buff Vada Recipe

Delicious and vrat-approved recipe that will keep you satiated and happy on the days you are fasting! 

Ingredients:

For Stuffing:

  • 1 boiled potato
  • 3 tablespoon semi crushed roasted groundnuts
  • ¼ cup fresh grated coconut
  • ¼ cup gGreen chilli ginger paste 
  • 2 tablespoon raisins and chopped cashews
  • 1 tablespoon sugar 
  • 2 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon  Bhoj Masale black pepper powder
  • 1 tablespoon  Bhoj Masale Bhuna Jeera
  • ½ cup finely chopped coriander leaves
  • Salt as per taste

For exterior dough:

Instructions:

    1. Prepare the stuffing: Mash one boiled potato and add 3 tablespoon semi crushed roasted groundnuts, ¼ cup fresh grated coconut, ¼ cup gGreen chilli ginger paste, 2 tablespoon raisins and chopped cashews, 1 tablespoon sugar and 2 tablespoon lemon juice and mix well.
  • Add the masala: To this, add 1 tablespoon  Bhoj Masale black pepper powder, 1 tablespoon  Bhoj Masale Bhuna Jeera, ½ cup finely chopped coriander leaves and salt as per taste and make it into small balls. Set this aside.
  • Prepare the outer dough: Take ½ kg boiled and peeled potatoes ans mash it well. To this, add 1 tablespoon  Bhoj Masale black pepper powder, ½ cup arrowroot powder and salt as per taste and knead it into a dough. Roll into medium sized balls.
  • Bring together everything: Pat the exterior dough balls into flat rounds and place the prepared stuffing in it and roll into a ball.  
    1. Fry the balls: Coat the prepared balls in all purpose flour and fry it in heated oil on medium flame until it turns golden brown and crispy. 
    2. Serve the farali buff vada along with some mint chutney and enjoy!

    Tips:

    • Arrowroot powder serves as an excellent thickening agent while also providing numerous health benefits!
