Desi Style Masala Pasta Recipe

A flavourful and quick recipe that is a mix of the tasty italian cuisine and flavourful indian cuisine wrapped up in the same dish. Try this recipe for your children and watch how the plates get emptied quick!

 

Ingredients:

  • 1 bowl pasta of choice
  • 1 tablespoon oil
  • 4-5 cloves of garlic
  • 2-3 green chillies 
  • ½ tablespoon ginger garlic paste
  • 2-3 onions
  • 3-4 carrots
  • 1 tomato 
  • 1 ½ tablespoon of tomato ketchup
  • ½ tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon of kashmiri red chilli
  • ½ tablespoon of black pepper powder
  • 1 tablespoon Bhoj Masale chilli flakes
  • 1 tablespoon Bhoj Masale oregano seasoning
  • 1 ½ tablespoon of grated cheese

Instructions:

    1. Boil the pasta: Add one bowl of pasta of your choice along with some water, 1 tablespoon of oil and salt to taste and boil the pasta. After removing it from the stove, strain the pasta and add some oil to the pasta and set it aside.
    2. Make the seasoning: In pan heat some oil and add 4-5 cloves of garlic minced, 2-3 green chillies, ½ tablespoon ginger garlic paste, 2-3 onions chopped, 3-4 carrots chopped, 1 tomato chopped, 1 ½ tablespoon of tomato ketchup, ½ tablespoon of soy sauce and salt as per taste and saute well.
  • Add the pasta: Add the boiled pasta to the seasoning and mix well.
  • Add the masala: Add 1 tablespoon of kashmiri red chilli, ½ tablespoon of black pepper powder, 1 tablespoon Bhoj Masale chilli flakes and 1 tablespoon Bhoj Masale oregano seasoning to the pasta and mix well.
  • Garnish: Garnish the pasta with 1½ tablespoon of grated cheese and cover and cook until the cheese melts.
    1. Plate the pasta and relish the burst of flavours. 

    Tips:

    • Add some oil after removing the boiled pasta and mix well. This helps in making the pasta non-sticky.
