Easy and simple recipe for making creamy rajma which you can try for your lunch or dinner with a bowl of rice and enjoy!
Ingredients:
- 1 bowl of soaked rajma
- Cinamon
- Black cardamom
- 1 tablespoon oil
- 1 tablespoon jeera
- 5-6 cloves of garlic minced
- 1 onion
- 1 tomato
- Coriander leaves
- 1 tablespoon red chilli powder
- 1 tablespoon Bhoj Masale coriander powder
- ½ tablespoon Bhoj Masale Kashmiri red chili powder
- ½ tablespoon Bhoj Masale black pepper powder
- ½ tablespoon Bhoj Masale coriander powder
- ¼ tablespoon Bhoj Masale garam masala
- ½ tablespoon kasuri methi
- Coriander leaves
- Water as required
- Salt as required
- Seasoned onion for sides
Instructions:
- Cook the rajma: Add 1 bowl of soaked rajma, water as required, sat as required, 1 big cinnamon and 1 black cardamom and whistle cook it in a cooker for 30 minutes,
- Get the gravy base ready: In a pan, heat 1 tablespoon of oil and to it add 1 tablespoon jeera, 5-6 cloves of garlic minced, 1 onion and 1 tomato chopped and saute well. Grind this in a mixer and make a paste.
- Prepare the side: Meanwhile the rajma is getting cooked, cut one onion into medium slices, and add ½ tablespoon of red chilli and squeeze half a lemon over it.
- Serve hot creamy rajma with some rice and the seasoned onion and enjoy!
Tips:
- Soaking the rajma before cooking helps in cooking the rajma quickly.
- To check if the rajma is cooked, take one in hand and squish it. If it mashes completely, it means that it is cooked well.
