Chole Chaat Recipe

Tasty and delicious chole chaat recipe that can woo any guests or friends whenever you have them over for a house party!

 

 

Ingredients:

Garnishing:

  • 1 tablespoon curd
  • Diced onion
  • 1 tablespoon green chutney
  • Diced tomato
  • Few pomegranate seeds
  • Coriander leaves
  • Sprinkle of sev
  • Sprinkle of   Bhoj Masale chaat masala

Instructions:

    1. Prepare the tempering for chole: Heat one tablespoon of oil and saute 1 tablespoon jeera, grated ginger and chilli garlic paste in it. 
  • Add the chole: Add 1 bowl of boiled chole to it and mix well. Add 1 tablespoon  Bhoj Masale kashmiri red chilli powder  and 1 tablespoon  Bhoj Masale chole masala  to this and mix well. Let it cook and set it aside once cooked.
  • Prepare the aaloo tikki: Add 1 tablespoon crushed jeera, ½ tablespoon  Bhoj Masale red chilli powder, ½ tablespoon  Bhoj Masale coriander powder, coriander leaves and 1½ tablespoon breadcrumbs to 2-3 boiled and mashed potatoes and mix and combine well. 
  • Roll into balls: Roll the potato mix into bolls and press it to make it a small round circle.
  • Cook the tikki: Coom the prepared tikki on a pan on medium flame until golden brown and crispy. 
    1. Construct the chaat: On top of the aaloo tikki pour some of the prepared chole masala.
    2. Garnish: Garnish it with 1 tablespoon curd, diced onion, 1 tablespoon green chutney, diced tomato, few pomegranate seeds, coriander leaves, a sprinkle of sev and a sprinkle of   Bhoj Masale chaat masala.
    3. Serve it on a plate or bowl and savour it!

    Tips:

    • Adding breadcrumbs to the potato mix will help in making the patties/tikki crispy.
