Chane ki sabji with Rice Recipe

A simple and ever-loved chane ki sabji is a quick and one pot recipe that saves time, energy and resources! This is a must try for when you are running low on time for cooking. 

 

Ingredients:

  • 1-2 Onion
  • 1-2 Tomato
  • ½ tablespoon Jeera
  • ½ tablespoon fennel seeds (saunf)
  • ½ tablespoon mustard
  • ½ tablespoon ginger garlic paste
  • ½ tablespoon dhania powder
  • 1 tablespoon red chilli powder
  • ½ tablespoon turmeric powder
  • ½ tablespoon salt
  • ½ tablespoon jeera powder
  • ½ tablespoon Bhoj Masale garam masala
  • 1 bowl of channa 
  • ¾ bowl of water
  • Coriander leaves for garnishing 
  • 1 tablespoon dry fenugreek (Kasuri methi)

Instructions:

    1. Prepare the channa masala: In a pan, heat up some oil and add the items for tempering - ½ tablespoon Jeera, ½ tablespoon fennel seeds & ½ tablespoon mustard and saute well. Add the cut up onion along with ginger garlic paste and mix well. Now, add ½ tablespoon dhania powder, 1 tablespoon red chilli powder, ½ tablespoon turmeric powder, ½ tablespoon salt, ½ tablespoon jeera powder, ½ tablespoon Bhoj Masale garam masala and the tomatoes and  mix everything well
    2. Add the channa: Now add the boiled channa and water as required and let it cook well.
  • Garnish: Once the channa is cooked well, add the cut up coriander leaves and voila the chane ki sabji is ready!
    1. Now plate it with some rice and enjoy!

    Tips:

    • Adding sprouted channa is good for health and taste!.
    • Always add the tomatoes at the end so that they do not become runny.
