Cabbage Poha

This recipe is for you if you find it difficult to make poha without onion. Cabbage poha is also good for people trying to lose weight or on diet.

 

 

Ingredients:

  • Cabbage
  • Oil
  • Peanuts 
  • Salt
  • Asafoetida
  • 1/2 tablespoon  Bhoj Masale Premium Whole Mustard 
  • Cumin seeds
  • Green peas
  • Curry leaves
  • ½ tablespoon turmeric powder
  • Coriander leaves, raisins, and Bhujia

Instructions:

  1. Roast Peanuts: Clean cabbage and chop it. Heat oil in a pan and roast peanuts in it on a slow flame. Keep them aside. 
  2. Cook Cabbage: Again heat oil in a pan and add asafoetida, mustard seeds, cumin seeds, and curry leaves. Let them splutter. Add chopped cabbage to the pan along with salt and turmeric. Cook it on medium flame for two to three minutes, add green peas to it, cover it again, and cook for two minutes. 
  3. Add poha: Add washed and soaked poha along with salt, mix well, and keep it covered for two to three minutes. Now add peanuts to this poha along with lemon juice. You can also add raisins to it. 
  4. Garnish with coriander leaves, raisins, and Bhujia.

Tips:


Mix turmeric and salt in hot water, cut the cabbage and leave it for 10 minutes, any insects will die.
