Bombay Style Pav Bhaji Recipe

Something about bombay style street food/chaat that one cannot resist. Try this pav bhaji recipe and experience the taste of Bombay at the comfort of your home!

    1. Steam the vegetables: Add 3-4 potatoes, 2 cup Cauliflower, 1 cup carrot, 2 tablespoon beetroot, salt as per taste and water as required  and steam  for 4 whistles until they turn soft. After removing the vegetables from the frame, mash it well.
    2. Make the bhaji: In a pan add 1 tablespoon butter, 1 tablespoon jeera, 2 onions chopped, 1 tablespoon ginger garlic paste and 2 tomatoes and saute well. In a small cup, mix 2 tablespoon  Bhoj Masale pav bhaji masala, 1 tablespoon Bhoj Masale Kashmiri red chilli powder, ½ tablespoon Bhoj Masale turmeric powder and ½ tablespoon Bhoj Masale red chilli powder and mix well. Add this masala mix to the bhaji and combine well. Add 1 cup capsicum and saute well until everything is mixed together. 
  • Mix everything: Once the raw smell in the masala goes, add the steamed and gooey vegetable mix to the masala and let it boil for 4-5 minutes.
  • Garnish: Add the chopped coriander leaves to the bhaji along with a tablespoon of butter and serve it along with some hot pavs!
  • Tips:

    • Garnishing the bhaji with some butter at the end seals the entire taste of pav bhaji.
