Are you craving a tea time snack that’s crispy and easy to make?.Then try this mathri recipe and feel the magic at your home.

 

 

Ingredients:

  • 1 kg maida
  • Salt 
  • Black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon  Bhoj Masale Turmeric Powder 
  • Ajwain
  • Kasuri methi
  • 150 ml oil/ghee
  • Water as required
  • Oil for frying

Instructions:

    1. Mix the ingredients: In a plate, mix maida, salt, black pepper powder,  Bhoj Masale Turmeric Powder, ajwain and kasuri methi with 150 ml oil/ghee. 
  • Prepare the dough: Prepare the dough by mixing a few tablespoons of water to the above mixture and keep it aside for 10 minutes.
  • Frying mathri: Pick small balls from the dough, flatten them and fry a batch of mathris in medium hot oil.
    1. Drain them on a plate with a paper towel to remove the excess oil and enjoy them with tea/coffee.

    Tips:

    • The mixture should form into a clump after mixing with oil when you hold it in your fist.
    • Keep adding 1 tbsp of water to the dough until you get the right consistency.
